U.S. Albemarle’s Lithium Hydroxide Battery Materials Project (Sichuan) Put into Production

On April 26, the Lithium Hydroxide Battery Materials Project invested by the U.S. Albemarle Corporation with 900 million U.S. dollars in Meishan City, Sichuan Province was officially put into production. The project is Albemarle’s largest fixed asset investment project in China. If the production capacity reaches expectation, the annual output value is expected to reach CNY 5 billion, which enable it to power more than 1.5 million new energy vehicles, and reduce 100 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions within the battery life cycle range. The Project Base will play an important role in turning Meishan into a manufacturing base for new energy and new materials in Chengdu-Chongqing area and promoting the high-quality development of lithium industry.

2024 Chengdu East New District Beijing Special City Value Promotion Conference

On April 19, 2024 Chengdu East New District City Value Promotion Conference was held in Beijing. The seminar attracted more than 200 participants, including representatives of industry associations and enterprises in Beijing. At the conference, Chengdu East New District released the first batch of 2024 investment opportunity list, which covers the key industries such as aviation economy, advanced manufacturing, biomedicine, and modern service industry, with an investment amount of CNY 74.898 billion.

2024 China Dental Valley Industry Development Conference Held in Chengdu

On April 24, the 2024 China Dental Valley Industry Development Conference were held in Chengdu. Experts and professors from the Chinese Stomatological Association, and associations related to the dental industry, institutions from different provinces, and representatives of enterprises, capital finance and local governments gathered together to attend the event. At this conference, Ziyang High-Tech Zone signed 16 projects on the spot, including Beijing Yinxiaomei orthodontic and planting digital dentistry project, Sichuan Zhijian medical transesophageal hypothermia therapy instrument project, Hong Kong Jiahua oral denture dental chair project and others. At present, China Dental Valley’s products cover more than 60 kinds of oral equipment in 4 categories, more than 100 kinds of oral materials in 5 categories. There are 258 "Made in Dental Valley" products from 49 enterprises that have been put on the market, and in 2023 the output value reached CNY 3.4 billion, accounting for about one-tenth of the national dental products output value.

Sichuan Yibin Investment Promotion Conference Held in Shenzhen

On April 28, Yibin (Sichuan) Investment Promotion Conference and Project Cooperation Agreement Signing Ceremony was held in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. The promotion attracted more than 140 representatives of well-known enterprises, industry associations, scientific research institutions and universities, including three of the world's top 500 companies, 27 listed companies and leading enterprises. A total of 50 projects were signed on the conference, with the total amount of CNY 31.286 billion. The projects cover mainly power batteries, photovoltaic, digital economy, energy storage and other industries. The project landing will further extend and strengthen the power batteries, crystalline silicon photovoltaic and other leading industry chains in Yibin.
