Meishan’s Investment-attracting Work Achieved Breakthrough in the First Quarter of 2024

From January to March this year, Meishan City signed a total of 47 investment-attracting projects, with the contract amount of CNY 44.687 billion. The intelligent wind power industry base project of China Shipbuilding Group Wind Power Development Co,. and a large number of major projects settled in Meishan. Since the beginning of this year, Meishan sent investment representatives to other provinces to carry out study visits and project attraction work, conducting commercial communication with 256 targeted enterprises. Focus on the advanced manufacturing industry chain and key links, Meishan signed and settled 10 major projects that are either "Three Types of Fortune 500 companies" projects or projects with an investment value reaching CNY 2 billion and above.

China-Europe Railway Express Made Over 4541 Trips in the First Quarter of 2024

It is learned that in the first quarter of this year, the China-Europe Railway Express has made 4,541 trips, sending 493,000 TEUs of cargoes, up by 9% and 10% respectively year-on-year. As of the end of March 2024, China-Europe Railway Express had made more than 87,000 trips, reaching 222 cities in 25 countries in Europe. This year, the railroad department will further expand the line of China-Europe Railway Express, to carry out the route test from Xi'an, Chongqing, Yiwu to Poti in Georgia, Istanbul in Turkey; the newly opened routes such as Harbin to Tilburg in Netherlands, Shijiazhuang to Belgrade in Serbia, and other China-Europe Railway Express routes to help boost the economic and trade exchanges between different cities in China and the European countries.

Sichuan Province's GDP for the First Quarter of 2024 Reached CNY 1414.26 Billion

On April 18, the Information Office of Sichuan Provincial People’s Government held a press conference on Sichuan's economic situation in the first quarter of 2024. Data released at the meeting showed that Sichuan's gross regional product in the first quarter of 2024 amounted to CNY 1,414.26 billion, an increase of 6.1% year-on-year at comparable prices. Among them, the added value of the primary industry was CNY 85.70 billion, an increase of 2.7%; the added value of the secondary industry was CNY 476.63 billion, an increase of 6.4%; and the added value of the tertiary industry was CNY 851.93 billion, an increase of 6.4%. Generally speaking, the economy of the Sichuan province in the first quarter of 2024 continued to recover and develop in a positive trend, kicking off with a good start and laying a solid foundation for realizing the annual task.
