The 12th Western China Investment Promotion Fair Held in Chengdu

On June 29th, the 12th Western China Investment Promotion Fair and Contract Signing Ceremony of Economic Cooperation Projects was held in Chengdu. Twelve provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) in Western China, Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and domestic and foreign investors signed a total of 492 investment cooperation projects. The signed projects cover multiple fields including electronic information, new energy, new materials, and biological medicine.

During the event, the China's western regions of Gansu Province, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Sichuan Province, Guizhou Province, Tibet Autonomous Region, Shaanxi Province, Qinghai Province, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region, and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps each conducted thematic promotions. Prominent companies such as China Energy Conservation and Environment Protection Group and TCP Group participated as representatives to exchange speeches, sharing opportunities for investment in the western region and their cooperative visions.

According to the introduction, during the 12th Western China Investment Promotion Fair, Sichuan exhibited two main characteristics in its signed projects. Firstly, the investment scale was large, with an average investment size of over CNY 1.3 billion per signed project, representing a growth of over 50% compared to the previous session. Among them, there were 66 projects with individual investments of CNY 3 billion or more. Secondly, there was a significant presence of manufacturing projects, accounting for over 70% of the total signed projects in Sichuan and exceeding 80% in terms of the agreement amount. These figures represent an increase of 20 and 36 percentage points respectively compared to the previous session.
