2023 China (Sichuan) Advanced Materials Industry Cooperation Promotion Conference Held in Chengdu

On November 30, the 2023 China (Sichuan) Advanced Materials Industry Cooperation Promotion Conference, hosted by the People's Government of Sichuan Province and jointly organized by the Sichuan Provincial Bureau of Economic Cooperation, the Sichuan Provincial Economy and Information Department, and the Beijing Liaison Office of the People’s Government of Sichuan Province, was held in Chengdu. With the theme "Empowering New Materials and Sharing New Opportunities", the conference aims to promote Chinese and foreign advanced materials enterprises to deepen their understanding of Sichuan and invest in Sichuan.

This conference is an important supporting activity of the "Well-known Chinese and Foreign Enterprises' Visit to Sichuan 2023" and has attracted more than 80 well-known domestic and foreign advanced materials enterprises and industry association leaders to participate. At the conference, well-known enterprise leaders exchanged views on the development of advanced materials industry cooperation, and Zigong City, Panzhihua City, Mianyang City, and Yibin City each promoted their advanced materials industries.

Sichuan attaches great importance to the development of the advanced materials industry and has listed it as one of its six major advantageous industries. In 2022, the province's advanced materials industry achieved an operating income of CNY 843.93 billion. In the first three quarters of 2023, the industry's added value increased by 20.9%. After years of cultivation and development, the advanced materials industry in Sichuan has formed a distinctive and outstanding development pattern.

Next, Sichuan will comprehensively implement the quality improvement plan of the advanced materials industry and build a strategic base to ensure the supply of important primary products and a globally influential advanced materials industry highland.
