From October 8th to 9th, Mr. Han Zheng, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, conducted field researches in Chengdu on the construction of the “Belt and Road”, the development of the Pilot Free Trade Zone, the progress of urban planning and construction, and the technological innovations of enterprises.
Mr. Han Zheng went to the Qingbaijiang Railway Port Area of China (Sichuan) Pilot Free Trade Zone and asked in detail about the “Chengdu-European +” channel and the works related to its construction. He witnessed the departure of many trains of the China Railway Express. He emphasized that the construction of the Pilot Free Trade Zone is a strategic move by the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core which aims at comprehensively deepening reform and expanding opening-up under the new situation. We must firmly grasp the core of institutional innovation, contribute to the national strategy, promote the construction of large-scale land and sea passages in the western region, make full use of the business card of Chengdu-European Railway Express to create a hub, thus realizing inter-connectivity and enhancing the level of development and opening-up in the western region.
Tianfu New Area is an important node for the construction of the “Belt and Road” and the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. A number of well-known enterprises at home and abroad have settled in. Mr. Han Zheng is carefully watching the planning the sand table in the Planning Department of Tianfu New Area to learn more about the overall planning pattern of Chengdu. He pointed out that urban planning and construction should implement the new development concept to truly realize "the integration of multi-regulation", attach importance to "black spots" so as to leave room for sustainable development. In accordance with the requirements of high-quality development, we must speed up the construction of a modern economic system, implement the strategy of innovation-driven development, and make greater efforts in nurturing new growth drivers and upgrading traditional ones.
Mr. Han Zheng went to the Wisesoft Cooperation Limited of Sichuan University to investigate and learn about the participation of private enterprises of high-tech in major scientific and technological projects. He stressed that it is necessary to allocate resources through market mechanisms based on the application and industrialization of scientific results, so as to transform more scientific achievements into high-tech products and into real productive forces. It is necessary to highlight innovation and tap the full potentials of scientists and entrepreneurs. In this way, we can build a collaborative innovation mechanism combining production, education and research with enterprises as the mainstay, and increase support for the application and industrialization of scientific achievements.
Mr. Han Zheng went to the China-European Center to investigate the construction of a national strategic platform for cooperation along the “Belt and Road”. He said that the western region should take advantage of its location to promote opening-up and build a highland for inland open economy. Mr. Han Zheng interacted with representatives from Germany, Bavaria, Poland, and Rhodes in Chengdu. He hoped that more foreign friends could experience in person the wider opening-up door of China through more economic and cultural exchanges,.
Mr. Han Zheng also went to Chengdu BOE Technology Group Co., Ltd. to learn its development trajectory, product research and development, market sales and response to changes in the external environment. He pointed out that it is necessary to improve the system and mechanism, optimize the business environment, do everything possible to solve problems for the enterprise, and inject in various vitalities into the company, thus supporting the development of the real economy.
