On June 29, the reporter learned from the Sichuan Provincial Employment Service Management Bureau that the province is implementing the 2024 "100-day 10-Million Jobs Recruitment Campaign" and the "National Recruitment Action" in a bid to bolster high-quality and full employment opportunities for college graduates and young individuals. This comprehensive initiative, spanning 100 days, is geared towards creating extensive recruitment platforms, expanding employment avenues, and offering high-quality job prospects so as to assist young people in securing employment, doing so promptly, and finding suitable careers.
Recently, the launching ceremony for the Sichuan Province 2024 "100-day 10-Million Jobs Recruitment Campaign" for young people and the "National Recruitment Action" (Sichuan Station) special event on high-quality development took place at Leshan Vocational and Technical College. As a key part of the launch ceremony, a concurrent special recruitment fair was held on the same day. The fair featured 120 companies from both within and beyond the province, collectively offering 3,046 job opportunities for college graduates, spanning diverse sectors such as automobile manufacturing, hotel management, new material manufacturing, and mechanical engineering.
Through comprehensive employment services, including career guidance, entrepreneurship advice, and policy promotion, the recruitment fair provides multi-level, all-encompassing and targeted assistance to college graduates. It attracted over 1,500 attendee visits in search of job opportunities and successfully facilitated 620 instances where job seekers and employers agreed on employment intentions. On-site, employment and entrepreneurship guidance was provided for over 400 person-times, and more than 680 resumes were submitted via a facial recognition system. Additionally, a livestreaming session showcasing job opportunities garnered 52,500 views.
Since the beginning of the year, Sichuan Province has intensified its efforts to enhance employment opportunities for young people. The province has organized 380 public employment service events on campuses, offering services totaling 510,000 engagements, hosted 1,082 online and offline job fairs for college graduates, providing information on 1.12 million job openings, and offered over 53,000 internship positions, with 9,000 individuals participating in employment internships.
A relevant leading official from the Provincial Employment Service Management Bureau stated that the employment departments across the province will continue to explore diverse job resources, refine employment services with concrete measures, increase support for groups facing employment challenges, and reinforce the promotion and guidance of positive employment mindsets, devoting dedication and sincere efforts to help young people find employment as soon as possible.
