Sichuan officially embarked on pilot survey of cultural and tourism resources. On August 12, the training session to implement pilot survey of cultural and tourism resources was held in Xingwen County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province. The session will provide a three-day training for those who will take charge of the survey including the provincial working group and personnel of the survey team in Xingwen.

　　To carry forward the survey to get a clear picture of the resources in building Sichuan into a cultural and tourism province is a major plan the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and the Sichuan Provincial People's Government made, and is also the requirement from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism to Sichuan, according to the head from the Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism. "As the first pilot area, Xingwen County will be engaged in preliminary trials, explore innovation, live up to its responsibility, and provide experience and model which can be replicated and generalized across the province," the head said.

　　As planned, the survey of cultural and tourism resources in the province will be launched in the second cohort of pilot areas including seven counties (cities or districts) such as Dujiangyan in early September, and the survey will be rolled out in 175 other counties (cities or districts) in early October.
