On January 5, Sichuan Vehicle Trade Global Tour (Middle East Station) Launch Ceremony was held both online and offline at Al Aweer Car Market in Dubai of the United Arab Emirates and at China-Europe Auto City in Qingbaijiang District of Chengdu. Contracts were signed on site for the export of 3,000 parallel-import cars and 20,000 new energy vehicles, with the trade value topping 5 billion yuan.

Sichuan Vehicle Trade Global Tour was held under the guidance of both Sichuan Provincial Department of Commerce and Chengdu Municipal People's Government. It is an important innovative measure for Sichuan to vigorously promote vehicle trade, actively support enterprises to expand the market and scramble for orders, and reinforce market confidence. Through this event, vehicle trade enterprises of Sichuan will be organized to conduct vehicle trade negotiations around the world, and a series of exhibitions and promotion activities will be held.

Auto manufacturing is one of the highly export-oriented industries in Sichuan. In 2022, the trade value of Sichuan's auto manufacturing industry reached about 22 billion yuan, with a growth rate of nearly 15 percentage points higher than that of Sichuan's foreign trade. The province's vehicle trade partners cover more than 160 countries and regions around the world, making vehicle trade an important growth driver of Sichuan's foreign trade.

Sichuan has maintained good economic and trade cooperation with the United Arab Emirates, which is a financial, trade, logistics, tourist center and a commodity distribution center in the Middle East. This event, taking Dubai as the first station, will accelerate the development of Sichuan's vehicle trade with the help of Dubai's thriving market and trading platform.

At the event site, Dubai Legend Multi Motors LLC signed contracts for the export of 3,000 parallel-import cars and 20,000 new energy vehicles with Sichuan Hongmeng Zhongtuo Automobile Import and Export Trading Co., Ltd., Chengdu Suzhui Import &Export Co., Ltd. and other vehicle trade enterprises. The trade value exceeded 5 billion yuan. Alibaba Group Holding Limited signed online transaction cooperation agreements for second-hand vehicles with Chengdu Zhengye Jixiang Parallel Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. and other enterprises.

On the same day, Sichuan Provincial Department of Commerce awarded a license to the Belt and Road Import and Export Commodity Distribution Center (Qingbaijiang).

Starting from the Middle East, Sichuan Vehicle Trade Global Tour will be successively held in Southeast Asia, America and Africa, so as to help Sichuan's vehicle trade enterprises sign contracts overseas, and to expand and strengthen Sichuan's vehicle trade. Through the interaction between vehicle and parts enterprises and the development driven by vehicle trade leaders, the event aims to build a central and western vehicle trade center and accelerate the construction of Sichuan as a province with strength in trade.
