From October 30 to November 2, Wu Ge, Member of the Party Leading Group of Sichuan Provincial Department of Commerce and Functional Deputy Director of China (Sichuan) Pilot Free Trade Zone Office, led a delegation to Kunming, Yunnan Province to attend the meeting to discuss the "one-bill coverage system" for intermodal transport of China-Laos Railway and inspect Mohan Port. The Innovation Division of China (Sichuan) Pilot Free Trade Zone Office, Qingbaijiang District Port Management Committee, and Sichuan Provincial Port Investment Land-Sea New Corridor Company also joined the inspection.
The Department of Commerce of Yunnan Province held a meeting to discuss the "one-bill coverage system" for intermodal transport of China-Laos Railway. The meeting brought together provincial and municipal free trade offices and railway bureaus in Yunnan, Hunan, Sichuan, Shaanxi, Guangxi, and Chongqing for exchange and discussion. It also integrated business, railway, logistics, and bank resources to further promote the "one-bill coverage system" for intermodal transport of China-Laos Railway. At the meeting, Deputy Director Wu Ge, on behalf of China (Sichuan) Pilot Free Trade Zone Office, signed the Cooperation Agreement on "One-bill Coverage System" Collaborative Opening-up and Development for Intermodal Transport of China-Laos Railway and delivered a speech. Relevant departments of Yunnan Province, representatives of Yunnan Free Trade Zone and China-Laos Mohan-Boten Economic Development Zone, and key logistics enterprises and banks of China-Laos Railway also attended the meeting.
After the meeting, Deputy Director Wu Ge and his delegation visited Yunnan Pilot Free Trade Zone Planning Exhibition Hall, Wangjiaying Container Center Station of China-Laos Railway, Kunming Area Government Affairs Service Center, etc. They took the passenger line of China-Laos Railway to investigate Mohan Port for face-to-face communication with enterprises, so as to have an in-depth understanding of how China-Laos Railway had promoted the the economic and trade exchanges between China and Laos and other Southeast Asian countries.
The activity led by the Department of Commerce of Yunnan Province promoted provinces and cities along the route to replicate and promote the reform and innovation experience of "one-bill coverage system" on China-Laos Railway, explore and find out patterns, and lay a foundation for expanding the scale through the attempt. The focus will be on the institutional innovation of the Pilot Free Trade Zone to jointly promote the development of the port economy, enrich the "road-rail-sea" intermodal transport of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, accelerate the construction of new international trade and logistics corridors, lead Sichuan's opening-up to a larger scope, wider fields and deeper levels, and make the Free Trade Zone's due contributions to building a new pattern of all-round opening-up.
