Sichuan is one of China's three major producing areas of gas, the geological resources of natural gas amounting to 3.6 trillion cubic meters. The economically recoverable reserves of the Longgang gas field which was recently proven in China reach up to 700 billion cubic meters, and the gas field is expected to become China's largest natural gas field. Investments are encouraged to go for related fields of supporting services for gas development, the industry chain of natural gas chemical industry, downstream products of the oil and gas industry, and the development and conversion of new technologies.
