On July 13, the 7th Sichuan Province Organizational Official Document Writing Skills Competition commenced. The event was jointly organized by the Work Committee for Departments Directly under the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee, the Sichuan Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, the Sichuan Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, and the Sichuan Women's Federation. A total of 1,303 officials from 111 provincial departments (units) and 21 cities (prefectures) across the province participated in the competition. During the event, contestants demonstrated their proficiency in theoretical knowledge, policy understanding, and writing skills, honing their skills in crafting official documents and bolstering their capacity to provide effective policy-making and decision-making assistance through their writing expertise.

The competition comprises two contests: one for composing leaders' speeches and another for revising official documents. The morning session of the competition was dedicated to writing leaders' speeches, conducted via a computer-based closed-book test. The afternoon session focused on revising official documents, employing a written closed-book test format.

This year's competition features three categories: the Departments Directly under the Provincial Party Committee and the People's Organizations Group (including central units in Sichuan), the Government Departments Group, and the City (Prefecture) Organs Group. Competition within each category is open to all ranks. The competition will present individual and team awards. For each contest within every category, individual awards will consist of first, second, and third places, as well as recognition for the top ten consolidated results. Participants who excel in achieving outstanding consolidated results will be nominated for awards and honors. The organizing committee will also commend deserving relevant provincial departments (units) and the work committees for departments directly under the municipal Party committees for their efficient competition organization and remarkable results.

The Sichuan Province Organizational Official Document Writing Skills Competition serves as a significant platform for young officials and staff members within Sichuan's organs to refine their skills and demonstrate their talent. It has emerged as a distinguished brand in the realm of Party building, and people's organizations work within the province. Over the past six editions, the number of unit registrations has reached 704, with over 100 units joining each year. Total participation has surpassed 7,000, with 1,589 persons (times) winning first, second, and third prizes and comprehensive awards. Additionally, 54 award-winning officials have been recognized with prestigious titles, including the Sichuan Province May 1 Labor Medals, Sichuan Youth May Fourth Medals, and Sichuan Province March 8th Red-Banner Pacesetter.
